Reed Ference, DDS, MDS, is a skilled dentist and Periodontist at Capital Region Periodontics and Dental Implants in Albany, New York. Treating patients of all ages, Dr. Ference is an expert in his field.
Dr. Ference has been practicing in the capital region since 1990. He studied chemistry as an undergraduate at Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York. He then completed his dental training at the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine in Stony Brook, New York. Dr. Ference later completed specialty training in periodontics at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut, where he was awarded an NIH research training grant. During this time, he also completed a master’s degree in immunology.
Following his specialty training, Dr. Ference had clinical and research responsibilities at the New York University College of Dentistry as the director of Undergraduate Periodontics. He served in this capacity for several years before relocating to Albany to practice periodontics and implant dentistry. Dr. Ference is committed to innovations in bone and tissue regeneration and has placed over 8,000 dental implants.
In his spare time, Dr. Ference enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending time with his wife and three sons.
